Blizzard of 96
Jan. 31st, 2026 08:45 amI think that I'm remembering the Blizzard of 96.
I was living in Gaithersburg, in a townhouse, sharing it with Paul.
My neighbors dug out quickly, clearing out their parking spaces with the most precise shoveling job that I'd ever seen.
The neighbors had only one car, so their space became the huge pile of snow. That took a while to melt.
I actually drove out fairly early, using my Honda Civic. I made it through that snow to the grocery store, which was new Giant nearby. That little Civic could get through almost anything.
That's about it. I don't even have any pictures.
